We promoted this Rodeo by going to every School in town and inviting all the students to the show. The PRCA Rodeo was sold out every night. The Rodeo clowns, Rodeo Queens and I went and performed to give them a taste of the rodeo. It was a great show. Even the Bellamy Brothers came and showed up for a concert. There were thousands of people in attendance.

Entrepreneur Club Oklahoma

This was a really neat club I performed for. It was for the Entrepreneur Club Oklahoma. It was made up of all kinds of individuals that have become very successful and built their own Million Dollar earning Company or own the majority shares of the the company. They were very nice and very hospitable. Be glad to spend more time with them in the future.

Elk Center Parade for the PRCA Rodeo is one of the best.  Long Parade but The Kids were yelling Oklahoma Kid, Oklahoma Kid mostly because I visited every school in the city Friday before the parade. Elk city had $150,000 added money so all the big time Rodeo people were there. I pulled off some pretty fancy rope tricks for this event. I worked on raising attendance by going by the schools and it worked we filled the place until the fire marshal had to open all he gates for safety. One of Oklahoma’s Greatest Rodeos. I also stood at the gate greeting all the patrons and signing autographs.

The other day they had his estate sale and a picture blew in a tree at the gate and I picked it up and it was a 8x10 of Bobby marriage in the 1950s. It was like he sent it to me. I also got a picture of him on a bull from my old time champion cowboys house Bobby Jack Williams. I have alot of history about Bobby Jack Williams. He was one of the greatest cowboys I never knew. I dont know if he is related to who Im doing the rodeo for. But they want a play for Bobby and I would be glad to wright it.

100 Years of History, Anniversary Bank of Oklahoma

The Severs Building or Bank of Oklahoma Held its 100 year anniversary. There were actors from that period that banked there. Some of those people were Eleanor Roosevelt, George Smith, Babe Ruth, Alice Robertson, Jim Thorp, Tams Bixby, Frederick Severs Lawrence C. McAlister, Sara Bernhardt Philip Sousa, Ernestine Schumann-Heink and of course Me playing the part of Will Rogers. We all spoke a part in the calibration.
I, Marty Tipton, The Oklahoma Kid performed as Will Rogers and give many of the quotes of Will's  and performed some pretty fancy Rope Tricks like the Texas Skip right in the lobby of the Severs Building. It was fun and very professional. I was able to have them laughing and cheering with all the action I performed.
It was an outstanding cast and I was fortunate enough to pull off every trick without a hitch. We had several sponsors and The Oklahoma Arts Council Played a big part. Special thanks to Jim Eaton President of Bank of Oklahoma.

Annual Fall Festival of the Arts

What a great town. We all had a great time there for the many events them scheduled. I performed and give trick roping Lesson out and afterwards they had a live Auction. And of course I had to be a part the action an get a bidders number and there was a lot of items to chose from. They had a roping Dummy for everyone to try out and homemade Ice Cream. It was a real treat. There is a young man there, Tray who is one of the up and coming trick ropers of our time. He played in the band and also roped with me and he is already a great roper. I know he will be a star attraction in the trick roping arena. Over all it is one of the friendliest places I have been to and I look forward to returning there.
If you have Photos of any of the event please send them to booking@theoklahomakid.com and we will post them on line.
